Psychology and Physiology of the G-spot: Does Belief in it Make it Exist?
So much controversy surrounds the G-spot that it makes people wonder. Does believing it exists mean that it really does exist? More importantly, does believing that it exists actually help a person experience greater sexual pleasure?
This may depend upon the individual. Perhaps some people may not need to believe that it exists, because they are already satisfied with the level of sexual gratification they experience. Perhaps they have no complaints in this area, unlike most of the people who are often seeking new ways to experience sexual pleasure.
While some people believe that this portion of the body is unnecessary, other people believe that it is essential. This is based on recent reports generated from the 1980s to the present that suggest that the front wall of the vagina expands when sexually stimulated.
It also is reported on statements that may or may not be based on fact. For instance, one description of this very important controversial portion of the female body explains, “If you have one (and that’s a big if), it’s 2.5cm to 5cm (1in to 2in) inside the vagina on the front wall.”
The writer of the article in which this statement is made further explains that this area when sexually aroused starts out as no larger than a pea. When stimulated, this erogenous zone could possibly expand to about twice the size.
One suggestion for a woman who wants to explore this area is to search for a spot that feels a little rougher, much like a walnut. This area is distinctive in that it is very different in texture than the surrounding vaginal tissue.
Touching this area of the vaginal wall will invoke varying results in women. For instance, some people might be in sensuous bliss for hours on end before she begins having multiple orgasms. However, if not touched in just the right way it could make some women just feel like they have to go to the bathroom.
